William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance
Monday October 13, 2003
Have you ever visited the Spratling Silver Reference Site? I've used this site for research a number of times and even bought a book on Mexican silver hallmarks there once. Vintage pieces like the one shown here (courtesy of site owner Phyllis Goddard) abound on this site, along with many other decorative pieces crafted by William Spratling's workshop in Taxco, Mexico. Don't forget to click on Current News to find out about "Maestros de Plata: William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance," a traveling museum exhibit on display in New Mexico now and heading for New Orleans next.
