"Cameo Appearances" at the Met

When I made the trek to the Antiques Roadshow taping in Houston last month, I took the cameo shown here with me for an appraisal. I love vintage jewelry, as you may have guessed, but haven't spent much time studying old cameos. Needless to say, my interest was peaked when I heard about Cameo Appearances, a special exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art featuring more than 100 cameos dating from Greco-Roman antiquities to the 19th century. Wonder if I can squeeze in a trip to New York between now and Jan. 29, 2006 when the exhibit closes?
