Identifying Eastlake Furniture

Tuesday June 27, 2006
There are so many periods and styles of antique furniture to keep track of, I thought it might be helpful to do a series of pictoral furniture identification tutorials over time. The first in this series is Identifying Eastlake Furniture. If you're not familiar with Eastlake styling, you'll discover that it's a departure from the fancy furniture styles usually associated with the Victorian period. Nevertheless, Eastlake pieces can be stylish and affordable if you shop around, and I personally like them although they're not everyone's cup of tea.
