Collecting Heavy Metal - Griswold Cast Iron

Lots of people visit the antiques site looking for information on Griswold cast iron, and it's really no wonder considering that some of these pieces can be worth hundreds of dollars each. I have a Griswold well/tree meat platter (with deer on it) which fits into a wooden carrier….both in good condition. Any idea of value? Also, how would one go about cleaning the platter?

Griswold is only collected by cooks. It is LIGHTER and finer grained than any contemporary maker. Therefore it is worth more. BUT NOT THAT MUCH MORE :P

I found a 6 inch griswold ashtray with the number 570 on it. is it worth anything????

i have a griswold 8 inch skillet
with a “lip” on the rim opposite the handle.
on the bottom is the griswold cross and name.
also at edge of bottom rim is NO 80C -
my mother had it long as i can remember-
i am 61 yrs old.

I also have found a 9 inch griswold skillet
with erie pa on the bottom as well as the cross/griswoldmark and a number = 710 on the bottom by the handle – and No. 9 opposite on the bottom rim. I am obviously clueless as to how to maybe get a value on these. or a buyer. times are tough i know and this is the only site so far i have tried. thank you for reading this.

I have a square griswold with just the circle and cross with griswold and 55D on the bottom the handle appears to have the number 8 or is it the letter B. I can’t find any to see how much I can get for it. Help?

I have a 1920 Griswold #19 waffle iron that makes 5 heart shaped waffles and 1 star shaped waffle. Any comments appreciated. Any idea of possible value?

I got today at a garage sale a # 8 Griswold cast iron it says DINNER SKILLET “ALL-IN-ONE” ERIE PA.U.S.A. 1008 it’s a little rusty but in excellant shape .is it worth keeping any comments ? Dan
