Learning to Distinguish Real Antiques from Reproductions

Distinguishing reproductions from genuine antiques is one of the most troublesome aspects of the collecting hobby. Even for folks who are decorating or buying an antique just because they like it, knowing what they're getting is the real deal remains important. There are a few easy answers, and a bunch more that aren't easy at all, but you can learn to tell a fake from the genuine article with practice.
