J is for Jeannette Glass Company

Wednesday May 27, 2009
This week the ABC's of antiques lead us back to glassware, more specifically that produced by the Jeannette Glass Company. Through a company profile you'll learn more about the history and the products made by Jeannette Glass Company including some information on where the factory was located (it relates to the name!) and the types of glass they produced. Believe it or not, Jeannette made more than just Depression glass.

The old Jeannette Glassworks (as we call it) is a 5min. drive from my house. (the building is in complete shambles) My FIL has a lot of their pieces scattered throughout his farmhouse as casual knick-knacks. Very cool profile… and that’s coming from a local! :-)
