R.S. Prussia Collection
Here's a sampling from the collection of Eva Paschal, your Guide's mother, who lives on the Texas Gulf Coast. Part of the fun in collecting comes through finding a treasure at a great price, so I'm noting a few of the bargains we've found over the years. Even with R.S. Prussia, a "sleeper" can be found on occasion, most of which are unmarked. Several lovely pieces of RSP including an ornate chocolate pot. The cake plate with pierced handles (left), which is unmarked, was purchased in a large antique mall for $35. A pretty cake plate and two unmarked swan demitasse cups. These demitasse cups were found as a set of six in a Connecticut antique mall for $25. A beautiful plate mom purchased about 25 years ago. This tea set is not uncommon, but still one of our favorites. There's just something about those floral finials. Three of mom's chocolate pots with floral decoration. Of all her pieces, mom's chocolate pots are still her favorites. A prized possession and rare find, this lady with dog bowl was purchased at an antique shop in Seabrook, Texas for a mere $125. And yes, it is unmarked.
