Definition: a furniture foot style, consisting of a tapered cylinder that is separated from the leg by a turned ring; usually plain, even if the attached leg is fluted; became popular in the mid-18th century; often featured in Hepplewhite and Sheraton designs, it is especially characteristic of the Windsor chair

Also Known As: blunt-arrow foot (a shorter, more squat variation)

Example:

The blunt-arrow feet featured on the Windsor chair were typical of the work of furniture-makers in colonial Philadelphia.
