Weller Pottery Identification and Value Guide

Weller Coppertone Frog Bowl or Compote

Morphy Auctions

The value of items produced by Weller Pottery Company from 1872 through 1948 varied as widely as the flower pots, bowls, crock, vases, and other wares the company produced. Founded in Fultonham, Ohio, by Samuel Weller, at one point (around 1905) Weller Pottery was the largest pottery in the country.

The most valuable Weller pottery are the early hand-decorated pieces. After 1935, the company made only molded pottery until the company closed in 1948. The later items are considerably less valuable than the older pieces made from the late 1800s through the early 1930s. To estimate the value, try to date your pieces by identifying Weller's unique pottery marks.
