G is for Goofus Glass
Sunday May 3, 2009
Coming up with a "G" was a bit challenging this week. But when I realized I hadn't covered Goofus glass yet, well, I took off in that direction and didn't look back. I'll have to admit that my trusty proofreader got a giggle out of the name of this interesting glass when he took a look at the finished product, and if you haven't heard of it before you might be feeling that way, too. Read What is Goofus Glass? for an overview of the history, manufacture and collectibility of the glass with a truly goofy name.

When I opened your web site I was appauled by the picture that I could not remove of 2 girsl in bathing suits (ugly and revealing) as well as some kind of voice over …I will remove your link if this happens again…do something about this intrusion…disgusting
Thank you for doing an article on Goofus Glass! I adore my little collection of goofus and because so few people were I live like Goofus, when I go to an auction I can get it quite cheaply. I have some wonderful pieces…some in great condition and some not so great. But again thank you for bring Goofus some well deserved attention.
janaet should first run an anti-virus program because it is likely something on her computer rather than about.com
janaet,
The video you are referring to is an advertizement for Hyatt Hotels. The two girls in the swim suits are doing a spoof on the best locations to get a tan. If you listen to the voice over… It is actually funny and meant in good spirit.
