My mom had a group of character dolls that were made before the movie and represented Rhett,Scarlet, etc it’s said that Selznick used these dolls to pick his actors.
Mom and two of her sisters and several other family members worked on the film, some as in fashion dept.one as a dancer.
My favorite all time movie. I adore the grand costumes and the handsome men. Scarlett was so beautiful and I always laugh at the bustles. And Rhett was strong, handsome and loyal. Do they make them like that anymore?
