The Importance of Identifying Photographs

I was removing some old photographs from a dilapidated album dated 1888 yesterday and out of a few dozen, only three of them had dates or identifying information written on the back. The one shown here is Miss Blanche Goodman of Anderson, S.C. I sat there wondering who most of those people were and wished the owner of the album would have written at least a name and date on the back as they were putting them in the album.
