R.S. Prussia Reproductions
A few examples of R.S. Prussia reproductions: This hatpin holder has been widely reproduced. The quality is off compared to genuine RSP hatpin holders. It is also marked with a bogus mark, RS over a green wreath with the word Prussia missing. Holding this heavily made bowl with transfer decor, it was easy to see the quality wasn't up to par. The porcelain was too thick, it was heavily crazed and the decoration was not delicate. The mark (shown below) was also too thick and contained too much red to be authentic as well. Prussia, check out this informative article from your Guide. |
